New Art on Display : Kiki Rajasekar

Drop over to the Haltom City Public Library to view artist Keerthana (Kiki)  Rajasekar’s original artwork. She has explored two themes - an Indian wedding and glimpses from her travels. She primarily works in oil and watercolor paint mediums, experimenting between photo-realistic attempts of subjects and an artist's eye view of landscapes. Interested in every form, abstract, figurative and pop, she wishes to explore them all in her artwork.

Kiki Rajasekar's work will be on view for three weeks at the Haltom City Public Library.

Friends of the Haltom City Public Library Abbreviated Paperback Book Sale

The Friends of the Haltom City Public Library are hosting another book sale at your favorite public library. This is one of the mini book sales sponsored by the Friends’ organization.

On Monday, January 9th through Saturday, January 14th, the Friends will be selling paperback books for either $.25 or $.50. Where else can you get a deal like that?! The times are:

Monday from 2 – 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday – Saturday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. (while supplies last).

At the last mini sale (cookbooks) the Friends sold all cookbooks and closed down the sale early, after only 3 days. If you are making a special trip for the book sale, call ahead to make sure there still are books for sale, 817.222.7785 or 817.222.7787, or visit the library’s website or Facebook page for an update.

Most of the paperbacks are adult with some teen books thrown into the mix. Happy reading.
